How To Program a SmartWinch
To identify your model software revision and therefore the setup procedures, click on the speaker symbols to hear the startup sounds. Once you have found the one that sounds the same as your winch, click the link next to that speaker symbol.
Not sure what model?
E, G, H and J models have an extra single wire setup lead from the winch with small white connector as well as the servo lead and power leads.
All other models only have the two power leads and the 3 wire servo lead.

D models and and earlier
To identify model / revision, disconnect from the receiver then turn the winch on and listen to the sequence of sound signals.
The table has recordings of the 4 different startup sequences for comparison. Each includes:
- Startup signal Always occurs at startup whether connected to radio or not.
- Countdown When no signal from receiver either 4 or 9 beeps (one per second) followed by 3 quick beeps.
- Abort signal Three rising tones indicates that setup mode was not entered.
Except for D rev 2 and D rev 3 where further programing options are available.
Select the desired procedure from the table after the model / revision has been identified from the recordings.
