Deceleration Rate

Before starting

  • The boat must be wired as per RMGSwitch BEC instructions.
  • Boat and transmitter (Tx) is on and winch is responding normally to Tx stick control.
  • Tx stick (and trim) to the end for sails close hauled.
  • When instructed to "press the button", the button must he held down for less than 1 second.
  • When instructed to "press and hold the button", the button must he held down for the specified time.
  • When instructed "turn the boat off", press and hold the button for more than 2 seconds and less than 3 seconds. The LED will go off at 2 seconds and turn on again at 3 seconds.
  • End points should be calibrated to this Tx previously for best results. 

Procedure

  1. Move Tx stick to close hauled for fastest rate, full out for slowest or any intermediate position as desired.
     
  2. Press and hold the button then release immediately the LED turns off for the second time. This will occur at 4 seconds after the button was pressed. 

    The winch will then give its startup signal then start the setup mode countdown.
     
  3. Ignoring the 3 quick beeps signal at 10 seconds, press the button when the winch gives the 3 rising tones at about 12 seconds.

    At this time the winch will give 2 quick beeps to indicate the setting has been sampled.

  4. Press the button after the 2 quick beeps.

    Following this button press 3 quick beeps will sound indicating the new setting has been saved. 
     
  5. Turn the boat off.

    Note: This procedure can be performed as often as you like. There are no special requirements for deleting old settings before performing the procedure. Old settings are automatically replaced when new settings are made.
