  • To power the system on, press the power button. The system will not operate if battery is below 12 volts. A warning will sound when below 12V and above 5V. The electronics can not operate at all below 5 Volts so there will be no indication from the machine if voltage is below 5.
  • To power the system off, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until display goes blank. This delay time protects against accidental shutdown during a countdown.
  • When initially turned on the system enters standby mode and displays the setting for button 1.
  • To start a countdown press a one touch button (buttons 1 to 5) corresponding to your desired countdown program while in standby mode.
  • To pause an in progress countdown, press any of buttons 1 to 5. The display will pause counting and blink.
  • While counting is paused the up button can be pressed to add a preset time delay to be added to the count. This preset time can be user adjusted.
  • To restart a paused countdown, press any of buttons 1 to 5.
  • To cancel a countdown and return to standby, press and hold menu/reset for 3 seconds. This hold time is designed to prevent accidental cancelation.
  • 10 seconds after entering standby mode the display will go blank to save power.
  • When the display is blank during standby, press menu/reset button to wake up the display. The display then shows the countdown time for button 1. Alternatively, press any of buttons 1 to 5 and the display will re-illuminate and the countdown assigned to the button pressed will start.
  • Button 1 is a single start countdown only button. The setting for this button can be adjusted simply by the up and down buttons during standby. Pressing button 1 after adjusting the display time will save the new countdown time and start the countdown.
  • To change the countdown program for buttons 2 to 5 or pause delay time <up> button, see "Menu Mode" below.
